What exactly is a one-page website?
It is one focused, scrolling page with all the essentials: your services, about section, photographs, reviews, service area, FAQs and clear ways to contact you. Separate privacy and legal information can be added where needed.
When do I pay?
Payment is made when you place your order. Once payment and all the required business information have been received, we can begin designing your website.
How long will my website take?
Your first website draft will normally be ready within 48 hours after we receive your payment and everything needed to build it. We’ll keep you informed throughout the process.
Can I request corrections before launch?
Yes. One consolidated round of reasonable pre-launch corrections is included. This gives you the opportunity to check the wording, photographs and business details before approving the website.
Do I own my domain and website?
Your domain, business content and completed website files can be transferred to you on request, provided your account has no outstanding payments. LocalWebHQ retains its reusable design framework. Domain transfers are subject to the rules and processing times of the relevant registrar.
Will my website appear at the top of Google?
No honest provider can guarantee that. We build a fast, clear site with sensible page titles, business information and technical foundations, but rankings also depend on competition, location, reviews and your wider online presence.
Can you link my booking system or WhatsApp?
Yes. We can link to an existing booking page and add click-to-call, WhatsApp, email and social buttons. Building a custom booking system is outside the standard package.
How do website updates work?
Content updates after launch cost £45 per hour, with a minimum charge of £15. Further time is charged in 15-minute increments. Send us everything you would like changed and we will confirm the cost before starting, so there are no unexpected charges. Technical hosting, security and maintenance remain included in your package.
What can I expect to provide in the form after I make payment?
After payment, you’ll receive a link to our website questionnaire. It guides you through the information we need to plan, write and design your new website, including:
- Your business and contact details
- Your services and ideal customers
- The locations you cover
- Your experience, insurance and other trust signals
- How your quotation and working process operates
- Customer reviews and links to review profiles
- Photographs of completed projects
- Your logo, brand colours and design preferences
- Your preferred calls to action and enquiry-form fields
- Common customer questions
- Existing social media and business profiles
- Permissions, launch dates and final approval details
Not every question requires a detailed response, but the more useful information you provide, the more accurately we can represent your business.
You can also upload your logo and project photographs directly through the form. Because Google handles these uploads securely, you will need to sign into a Google account. It helps to gather your logo, best photographs, reviews and profile links before you begin.
How do cancellations work?
The monthly package can be cancelled at any time without a notice period by contacting us or cancelling your Direct Debit. Payments already collected are non-refundable, and the website remains available until the end of the paid billing period. Annual packages can also be cancelled at any time, but annual payments are non-refundable.
What happens to my website if I cancel?
Your website remains hosted until the end of your paid period unless you request an earlier transfer or closure. Your domain and completed website files can be transferred to you, but LocalWebHQ hosting cannot be transferred. You will need to arrange alternative hosting for the files.
